Saudi-Korean Business Forum: Highlighting AI's Impact On Entrepreneurship
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) engaged in a session on innovation and technology at the Saudi-Korean Business Forum in Seoul, South Korea. This event coincided with the visit of Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and his delegation of officials from both government and private sectors to the Korean capital.
The visit's primary goal was to enhance commercial ties in key economic areas between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, reinforcing their economic partnership. The forum was organised by the National Competitiveness Center, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the forum, SDAIA highlighted the Rowad initiative at the Saudi Arabia pavilion. This initiative is designed to support entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Saudi Arabia. It helps startups verify client data electronically by integrating with National Information Center databases, ensuring high safety and reliability standards.
SDAIA also presented its plans for the third edition of the Global AI Summit, set to take place in Riyadh in September. The summit will feature over 250 speakers from around the world who will explore AI potentials and its impacts across various fields.
The Rowad initiative aims to improve identity uses in emerging sectors and enhance facility data quality. By supporting entrepreneurs' contributions to the national GDP, it aligns with SDAIA’s broader goals.
Commitment to International Collaboration
SDAIA's participation in this forum underscores its dedication to fostering partnerships with international entities. These collaborations are crucial for achieving SDAIA’s vision of establishing a data-driven national economy, which is a key objective of Saudi Vision 2030.
Through such efforts, SDAIA aims to position Saudi Arabia among leading countries in data and AI-driven economies. This commitment reflects a strategic approach towards leveraging technology for economic growth.
The forum provided an opportunity for SDAIA to showcase its initiatives and future plans while engaging with global stakeholders. This engagement is part of a broader strategy to integrate advanced technologies into various sectors within Saudi Arabia.
