Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry Hosts Grand Iftar Banquet In Kendari For Thousands
In a significant display of generosity and international camaraderie, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's embassy in the Republic of Indonesia, hosted a grand Iftar banquet in Kendari city. This event saw participation from over 2,300 individuals, marking a notable moment of unity and cultural exchange. The banquet was graced by the presence of Kendari's Governor Muhammad Yusuf, religious attaché at the embassy Sheikh Ahmed bin Isa Al-Hazmi, alongside other distinguished guests.
This Iftar gathering is a part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Gift Program for Holding Iftar Banquets for the year 1445 AH. It underscores the Kingdom's commitment to fostering Islamic solidarity and providing support to Muslim communities worldwide. The program, meticulously implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in the Republic of Indonesia, aims to bring joy and spiritual fulfillment to Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

During his address at the event, Governor Muhammad Yusuf extended heartfelt gratitude towards Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He lauded their efforts in initiating such a program that significantly contributes to the happiness of the Indonesian Muslim community. His appreciation also went out to the Saudi government for its relentless support and contributions towards serving Islam and Muslims across the globe.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Isa Al-Hazmi highlighted that this year's Iftar program included the distribution of 20 tons of dates, benefiting more than 80,000 individuals. This gesture not only reflects the spirit of Ramadan but also strengthens the bonds between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia through acts of kindness and mutual respect.
The event underscores Saudi Arabia's role in promoting Islamic values and its dedication to humanitarian efforts. By hosting such banquets, the Kingdom fosters a sense of community among Muslims worldwide, reinforcing ties of brotherhood and solidarity during one of Islam's most revered months.
