Saudi International Handicrafts Week 'Banan' To Showcase Artisans From Over 20 Countries In Riyadh

The Saudi Heritage Commission is hosting the second edition of the Saudi International Handicrafts Week, known as "Banan." This event, under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Heritage Commission, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, will be held at the Roshn Front in Riyadh from November 23 to 29, 2024. It aims to highlight authentic handicrafts and traditional industries.

More than 20 countries will participate in this event, with over 500 artisans from both local and international backgrounds showcasing their work. "Banan" serves as a vibrant platform to celebrate traditional handicrafts. It not only promotes these arts but also supports artisans economically by enabling them to market their creations to a wider audience.

The exhibition includes various pavilions and activities designed to enrich visitors' experiences. Among these are a Handicraft Arts Village, a Live Craft Demonstration Pavilion, a Craft Exhibition, a Handicraft Workshop Pavilion, an Interactive Experience Zone, and an Entrepreneurs and Artisan Institutions Platform. A Children's Pavilion offers activities specifically designed for kids.

Visitors will have the opportunity to interact directly with artisans and observe the production processes of handmade artistic pieces. Through this experience, they can learn about the cultural diversity embraced by Saudi Arabia, enriching their knowledge of Saudi heritage while deepening their understanding of local customs and traditions.
