Saudi Arabia And Foton Motor Aim To Enhance Vehicle Manufacturing Cooperation

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef recently met with officials from Foton Motor Company in Guangzhou, China. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in vehicle manufacturing and localising the production of buses, trucks, and light transport vehicles in Saudi Arabia.

The meeting included representatives from the Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, and the Industry and Mineral Resources System. They reviewed investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia's vehicle and bus manufacturing sector. The goal is to localise this crucial industry to align with Vision 2030 objectives.

Boosting Saudi Vehicle Manufacturing

Al-Khorayef emphasised the ministry's commitment to collaborating with international companies like Foton Motor. He highlighted the Kingdom's aim to become a regional hub for the automotive industry and an attractive destination for foreign investments.

Officials from Foton Motor expressed significant interest in expanding their investments in Saudi Arabia. They are keen on contributing to localising the industry and transferring technical knowledge to national workers.
