Saudi Health System Wins Prestigious Award And 19 Medals At The 2025 Geneva International Exhibition Of Inventions

The Saudi health system has gained international acclaim by securing a prestigious award and 19 medals at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2025. This achievement highlights the Kingdom's leadership in health innovation, guided by the Ministry of Health. It also underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing healthcare as part of its Vision 2030 initiative.

Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel emphasized the Kingdom's dedication to global healthcare advancements. He noted that innovation is key to transforming the sector. The use of advanced technologies, strategic investments, and international partnerships are crucial in building a modern and sustainable healthcare system that positively impacts human well-being.

Saudi Health System Wins Awards in Geneva

The Health Sector Transformation Program, integral to Saudi Vision 2030, aims to create a vibrant society with sustainable, high-quality healthcare. The program focuses on improving life expectancy in the Kingdom to 80 years by 2030. This goal reflects Saudi Arabia's global perspective and its commitment to advancing healthcare standards.

The Saudi pavilion at the Geneva exhibition featured several key health entities. These included the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Council of Health Insurance (Daman), the Saudi National Institute of Health, and the National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO). These organizations presented innovative solutions that enhance research and development, support healthcare sustainability, and improve patient experiences.

NUPCO received a special award for its contributions. Additionally, three Saudi entities—the Health Research Institute, NUPCO, and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority—were honoured with gold medals for their innovations. The Health Research Institute and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority also received individual gold medals for their unique contributions.

Medals Highlight Achievements

A total of nine silver medals were awarded to various health clusters associated with the Health Holding Company, along with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and the Health Research Institute. Furthermore, four bronze medals were given to three other health clusters and the Council of Health Insurance for their notable achievements.

This recognition at an international level reaffirms Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing its healthcare system through innovation. By focusing on strategic investments and collaborations, the Kingdom aims to establish a healthcare system that is accessible, modern, and sustainable.
