Saudi Health System Wins Prestigious Award And 19 Medals At 2025 Geneva International Exhibition Of Inventions
The Saudi health system recently gained international acclaim by securing a prestigious award and 19 medals at the 2025 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. This achievement highlights Saudi Arabia's leadership in health innovation and its commitment to enhancing healthcare under the Ministry of Health's guidance. The event underscores the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to advance healthcare as part of the Health Sector Transformation Program, which aligns with Saudi Vision 2030.
Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel emphasized the Kingdom's dedication to global healthcare advancements. He noted that innovation is crucial for transforming the sector, highlighting the use of advanced technologies, strategic investments, and international partnerships. These efforts aim to create a modern, accessible, and sustainable healthcare system that significantly improves human well-being.

The Saudi pavilion at the Geneva exhibition featured key health entities such as the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Council of Health Insurance (Daman), Saudi National Institute of Health, and National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO). These organizations presented innovative solutions designed to advance research and development, support healthcare sustainability, and enhance patient experiences.
NUPCO received a special award for its contributions. Additionally, three Saudi entities—the Health Research Institute, NUPCO, and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority—were honoured with gold medals for their innovations. The Health Research Institute and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority also earned individual gold medals for their groundbreaking work.
In addition to gold medals, nine silver medals were awarded to various health clusters associated with the Health Holding Company, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the Health Research Institute. Furthermore, four bronze medals were given to three other health clusters and the Council of Health Insurance.
Vision for a Healthy Future
AlJalajel highlighted that participating in the Geneva exhibition reflects Saudi Arabia's global outlook. The Kingdom aims to increase life expectancy to 80 years by 2030 through these initiatives. This goal aligns with creating a vibrant society supported by sustainable high-quality healthcare services.
This recognition at an international level reaffirms Saudi Arabia's commitment to leading in health innovation. It also showcases its dedication to advancing healthcare systems globally while focusing on improving life quality within the Kingdom.
