Saudi Health Council To Showcase Innovations At Global Health Exhibition 2023 In Riyadh
The Saudi Health Council is set to participate in the 7th Global Health Exhibition from October 21 to 23. This event will be held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, under the theme "Invest in Health." The council will feature an interactive Innovation Zone showcasing key health system indicators and digital health advancements.
Over 500 speakers and more than 1,200 exhibitors from 70 countries will attend this major health event. It will include over 100 panel discussions on healthcare's future, digital health technologies, and healthcare systems. A diverse group of experts and specialists in health and investment sectors are expected to participate.

The council aims to highlight national programs enhancing healthcare quality through digitization. Among these initiatives is the National Digital Health Maturity Assessment for evaluating health facilities across Saudi Arabia. Efforts also include medical coding standards to unify terminologies for diagnoses and procedures.
Another focus is the Pharmaceutical Dictionary System, which standardizes medication coding in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the council will present a national electronic tool for calculating cardiovascular disease risk factors and Sanadak, a statistical system for diabetes centers collecting essential data.
The council plans to showcase several projects supporting cancer combat efforts. These include an interactive platform for publishing reports from the Saudi Cancer Registry and SaudiCAN, a cloud-based registry recording diagnosed cancer cases nationwide. These initiatives aim to improve healthcare services' quality and efficiency.
A guide for health policymakers will also be featured, designed to enhance healthcare service delivery. The council's participation underscores its commitment to advancing healthcare development and achieving the Health Sector Transformation Program's objectives.
Memoranda of Understanding
During the exhibition, the Saudi Health Council is scheduled to sign 17 memoranda of understanding with various entities. These agreements aim to further develop healthcare initiatives within the Kingdom. This collaboration reflects ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare systems through strategic partnerships.
