Saudi Green Building Forum Joins International Accreditation Forum To Enhance Sustainability Standards

The Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF), which owns the SAAF certification trademark for Arab Green Building, has joined the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) as an association member. This move highlights its dedication to applying global standards in conformity assessment and advancing sustainable practices in construction both locally and regionally.

As an association member, SGBF aligns with IAF policies concerning conformity assessments by accredited bodies. It follows guidelines for using accreditation symbols and issuing certified conformity assessment documents. The forum also adheres to standard documents approved by relevant parties for assessment activities.

Membership in the IAF allows SGBF to engage in meetings and activities organized by the forum, including technical committees. It can access non-confidential information about other members and officially declare its membership status. This involvement supports its role in promoting sustainability within the building sector.
