Saudi-Georgian Business Forum Highlights Key Trade Agreements And Investment Opportunities

The Saudi-Georgian Business Forum, held in Tbilisi by the Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC), facilitated the signing of numerous trade agreements between investors from both nations. Over 200 companies from Saudi Arabia and Georgia participated, with notable attendees including FSC President Hassan bin Moejeb Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Saudi Business Council Ahmed Al-Dakhil, and Saudi Ambassador to Georgia Salman Al-Sheikh.

The forum highlighted investment opportunities in sectors such as transportation, logistics, agriculture, tourism, real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy. Al-Huwaizi emphasized the need for a strategic vision to enhance investment and trade partnerships between the two countries. He urged stakeholders to leverage available incentives and address factors contributing to low trade volumes.

Key Trade Agreements at Saudi-Georgian Forum

Al-Dakhil stressed the importance of overcoming obstacles that hinder trade and investment relations. He believes that addressing these challenges will lead to increased bilateral trade and joint investments. The Saudi-Georgian Joint Business Council's meeting in Tbilisi was pivotal in discussing strategies to strengthen economic ties.

The current trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Georgia stands at approximately SAR162 million for 2023. Of this total, Saudi exports constitute 31%, while Georgian imports account for 69%. This visit aims to elevate trade exchanges to levels that align with both nations' aspirations.

During the forum, participants explored potential collaborations in various sectors. These discussions are expected to pave the way for future partnerships that can drive economic growth in both countries. The focus was on creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive by removing existing barriers.
