Saudi Fund Signs $40M Loan To Support Energy Sector In Saint Kitts And Nevis
Washington D.C., witnessed a pivotal moment in international development cooperation as the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the government of Saint Kitts and Nevis inked a developmental loan agreement valued at $40 million. This significant financial pact, signed by SFD's CEO, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, and Saint Kitts and Nevis' Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, is set to invigorate the energy sector of the Caribbean island nation.
The core of this agreement is to fund the expansion of a crucial power plant project in Saint Kitts and Nevis. The project aims to establish a dual-fuel power generation station with an 18-megawatt capacity, marking a significant step towards enhancing the country's energy production capabilities.
