Saudi-French Investment Forum Concludes In Riyadh, Enhancing Economic Collaboration

The Saudi-French Investment Forum recently concluded in Riyadh, highlighting the robust economic partnership between Saudi Arabia and France. French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a keynote speech at the event, which gathered leaders from government, industry, and business sectors to enhance bilateral relations. The forum saw the signing of significant investment agreements, marking a pivotal moment in the collaboration between the two nations.

Organised by Invest Saudi, the forum facilitated discussions among ministers and CEOs from both countries. Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih remarked on the evolving global landscape, stating: "We are today, as the world is changing so fast, in a new era of partnership. There is alignment of our interests and complementarity in our capabilities. And we also have shared world views that are lifting the Saudi-French partnership to a new height, culminating in the signing of our strategic partnership."

Saudi-French Forum Strengthens Economic Ties

Throughout the event, numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between public and private sector entities from both nations. These agreements covered diverse sectors such as energy, industry, environment, transportation, logistics, financial services, space, defense, communications and information technology, insurance, and electronics.

The forum also featured panel discussions on various topics including knowledge transfer, green energy initiatives, cultural exchange programs, hosting global events, urbanisation trends, and developments in travel and tourism. These discussions aimed to foster collaboration and innovation across multiple fields.

Several prominent figures attended the forum. Among them were Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Bin Ayyaf. Also present were Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb who chairs the Executive Council of UN Tourism; French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati; French Minister Delegate for Industry Marc Ferracci; and Co-Chairman of the France-Saudi Arabia Business Council Laurent Germain.
