Saudi Founding Day: 15 Cities To Be Lit Up With Cultural Events This Weekend

Saudi Arabia is set to witness a vibrant tribute to its cultural heritage and history with grand celebrations of Saudi Founding Day planned in over 15 cities from February 20 to 23, according to Saudi Gazette. This nationwide festivity aims to commemorate the Kingdom's establishment three centuries ago, offering a mix of cultural, environmental, and historical events.

The capital Riyadh is at the forefront with the city adorned with over 8,000 flags and the Ministry of Culture curating a variety of events that reflect on the country's rich past. The celebration extends beyond Riyadh, with AlUla hosting the Al-Srraya Festival, which promises an immersive journey through the Kingdom's founding story.

In Riyadh, the Foundation Day Orchestra event at the King Fahd Cultural Center will be a highlight, showcasing the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir's talents. Scheduled for the weekend, this performance aims to narrate the Kingdom's history through a blend of music and visual arts, enhancing Saudi Arabia's cultural image on the global stage.

Events like the Strong Ties in Boulevard City and the Memory of the Land across various cities will foster unity and delve into the history of the first Saudi state.
