Future Falcons Programme Aims To Develop Saudi Football Talents For Professional Careers
The Saudi Scholarship Program for Developing Football Talents, known as Future Falcons, is a key initiative by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. It aims to nurture football talents in line with the Saudi football transformation strategy. The program transitioned last season to be under the technical department of the federation, led by Technical Director Nasser Larguet.
President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Yasser Al-Misehal, expressed appreciation for Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal's support. He acknowledged the Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee's dedication to the program's success. Al-Misehal highlighted its role in developing professional football talents.

The Future Falcons program is designed to provide U-16 national team players with professional experience over two seasons. Held in Salou, Spain, it prepares young athletes for their future careers. The program includes education, modern training methods, and participation in matches and tournaments.
Dr. Romeo Jozak from Croatia and Michel Salgado, coach of the Saudi U-16 national team, lead the coaching staff. They approved the schedule for the 2024–2025 sports season in November 2023. Their leadership ensures that players receive comprehensive training and development opportunities.
The program immerses players in a professional framework that includes secondary and middle school education. It focuses on modern training techniques, professional culture, technical and physical skill development, dietary improvements, and daily training sessions.
Al-Misehal emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader plan to prepare an exceptional generation of Saudi footballers over the next decade. He stated that supporting this program is crucial for Saudi football's strategic transformation.
The Future Falcons initiative serves as a cornerstone for nurturing future football stars in Saudi Arabia. By providing young players with essential skills and experiences, it aims to elevate their potential and contribute significantly to the country's football landscape.
