Saudi Food Show 2023 Opens In Riyadh To Advance Food Industries And Security
The third Saudi Food Show began recently, supported by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and in collaboration with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). Eng. Majed Al-Argoubi, CEO of MODON, highlighted the event's importance in promoting innovation and advancing food industries. This initiative aims to boost food security and enhance Saudi Arabia's competitiveness on both regional and global scales.
Key discussions at the event revolved around transforming Saudi Arabia's food industry. The main session focused on integrating various sectors to achieve Vision 2030 goals. Participants discussed enhancing collaboration across sectors to support growth in the food industry, ensuring sustainability, and maintaining food security according to international standards.

The second session delved into strategies for enabling food security and industrial sustainability within Saudi Arabia. It highlighted ways to strengthen food industries, develop supply chains, and promote investment opportunities aimed at sustainable food security. These discussions are crucial for aligning with the Kingdom's broader industrial development objectives.
During the show, MODON signed ten agreements with private sector entities. These agreements, valued at SAR350 million, focus on industrial, logistical, and investment initiatives. This move reflects MODON's dedication to developing industrial infrastructure and creating a business-friendly environment that attracts both local and international investments.
The Saudi Food Show is recognised as the premier event for the Kingdom's food industry. It brings together approximately 1,300 companies from 100 countries along with leading experts and innovators.
