Saudi Film Commission To Participate In Red Sea International Film Festival 2025 In Jeddah
The Saudi Film Commission is actively participating in the Red Sea International Film Festival, which runs from December 4 to 13 in Jeddah. This festival is notable as the first international film festival hosted in Saudi Arabia. It aims to support emerging Saudi and Arab films while also showcasing diverse global productions.
In an effort to enhance its presence both locally and internationally, the commission will host a special panel discussion titled "Meet the Saudi Funders." This session will feature prominent Saudi investors discussing their project interests and application processes. Additionally, a roundtable session will be organized with The Hollywood Reporter, offering insights from local and international experts.

The commission plans to screen several Saudi films that have benefited from the Daw' (Light) program. Among these films is "Hijrah," which represents Saudi Arabia at the 98th Academy Awards. Other featured films include "Sharshura" ("The Hearse"), "Al-Majhoola" (Unidentified), "The Cradle," and the "Opening Ceremony."
A delegation from the commission will attend the festival, alongside an informational booth highlighting its initiatives to support film industry growth. Through these efforts, the commission seeks to establish itself as a leader in the film sector by showcasing Saudi talent on a global platform.
The commission's participation aims not only to promote sustainable growth but also to spark collaborations between local and international filmmakers. By doing so, it hopes to create new opportunities for exciting projects that bridge cultural gaps and foster creative exchanges.
According to a press release issued by the commission, these initiatives are designed to boost its position as a key player in the film industry. The focus is on nurturing talent and facilitating partnerships that can lead to innovative cinematic ventures.
