The Saudi Film Commission has unveiled the activities for the Saudi Film Confex 2024, scheduled from October 9 to 12 in Riyadh. This event will feature interactive experiences, with the "Business Hub" as a central attraction. This hub will facilitate agreement signings and partnerships among film industry companies.
Confex is a pioneering event in Saudi Arabia, uniting filmmaking experts, specialists, and a distinguished array of local and international artists and producers. The second edition will showcase an exhibition featuring over 16 key locations across the filmmaking value chain. It will also host a conference with 30 panel discussions and 15 workshops on various industry aspects.

The "Consultation Platforms" at the event will provide specialized advice on filmmaking topics such as financing and production methods. Freelancers can register here to connect with companies seeking their expertise. An interactive activation called the "On-Set Challenge" will allow visitors to experience roles like actors, photographers, directors, and other essential film crew positions.
The "Film Talk" segment is set to gather notable figures from the film industry to share their success stories, insights, and experiences. Additionally, an exhibition will display advanced equipment used in aerial cinematography. These activities aim to enhance visitor understanding of the film industry's diverse aspects.
Younger attendees can explore the "Junior Filmmaker" zone, which offers an engaging introduction to filmmaking through interactive activities tailored for children. The "Cinematic Arts" zone will delve into makeup and costume design art, showcasing how characters are transformed from concept to screen.
The accompanying activities are anticipated to significantly improve the visitor experience by providing a deeper insight into the film industry's various facets. They also highlight untapped potential within this rapidly growing sector.
