Ettimad Movables Auction Becomes Mandatory For All Saudi Government Agencies
The Ministry of Finance has begun enforcing a new requirement that all government agencies must sell government movables through the Ettimad auction service on the Ettimad platform. The move is designed to make disposal of public assets more transparent, more efficient, and easier to access for bidders across Saudi Arabia.
Through Ettimad auction, government entities handle every stage of the sale online. Data about movables is entered and priced electronically, then advertised on the platform. Bidders submit offers digitally, with awarding decisions and invoice issuance also completed within the same electronic system, without any paper procedures.

The ministry stated that using the Ettimad platform for all such sales supports equal access for individuals and private companies. The unified channel lets interested parties see government auctions clearly and participate under the same conditions, which supports fair competition and better financial returns from government movables.
According to the ministry, the obligation to use Ettimad auction forms part of a broader digital transformation in public financial services. The platform is considered a key tool in modernising government asset management, improving control over disposal operations, and aligning procedures with international practices while keeping processes simple for users.
Ettimad auction is one of the core services available on the Ettimad platform, created to streamline selling government movables and raise the efficiency of their disposal. The initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030 goals for stronger public financial management and greater transparency in government transactions across all sectors and regions.
Government agencies conduct offerings through their existing Ettimad platform accounts. Individuals and private sector participants can view and join auctions via the electronic portal at https://etimad.sa. The announcement was carried by SPA, which reported the local time of 13:55 and 10:55 GMT under reference 0018.
