Saudi Energy Launches New Corporate Identity To Strengthen Saudi Arabia's Energy Sector And Vision 2030
Saudi Electricity Company has adopted a new corporate identity and will now operate under the name Saudi Energy (SE). The rebranding signals an expanded role in the Kingdom’s energy sector and supports national plans under Vision 2030. The move aims to improve energy supply security and grid reliability, while keeping the company aligned with ongoing structural changes in Saudi Arabia’s wider energy landscape.
The company stated that the new name reflects Saudi Energy’s position within the national energy ecosystem. This includes planning and delivering energy storage projects, improving the electricity generation mix and replacing liquid fuels to protect energy supplies. Saudi Energy confirmed that its licensed activities across generation, transmission, distribution, storage and system enablement continue under the existing regulatory framework and governance model.

Chief Executive Officer Eng. Khalid Al-Ghamdi explained that the transition builds on reforms introduced since 2020. These reforms were overseen by the Ministerial Committee for the Restructuring of the Electricity Sector, chaired by Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. The committee’s work has focused on meeting sector objectives and improving service quality for consumers across the Kingdom.
Al-Ghamdi stressed that the updated identity rests on the company’s national legacy and signals a new stage rather than a change in core business. According to Al-Ghamdi, the launch supports a more modern institutional image based on trust, sustainability and readiness for future needs, and it confirms Saudi Energy’s intention to back sector development and long-term prosperity in Saudi Arabia.
"We are building on a strong legacy in the electricity sector and moving forward with an identity that reflects our readiness for a more integrated phase. We will continue contributing efficiently to the national energy system and enhancing service reliability, in alignment with the strategic direction of the Ministry of Energy and the objectives of Vision 2030," Al-Ghamdi said.
Saudi Energy noted that customer centricity sits at the centre of its operating strategy. This focus is captured in its corporate promise, "Around you, for you." The company said it will keep working to enhance customer experience, improve service quality, expand digital interaction channels and respond effectively to the needs of individuals, businesses and industrial users.
Saudi Energy infrastructure role and long-term energy security
The company added that the new identity draws on its history of delivering electricity across Saudi Arabia. Saudi Energy underlined its ongoing role as a key enabler of electrical infrastructure and grid reliability. It highlighted efforts to modernise and automate infrastructure, support integration of different energy sources and uphold system stability and long-term energy security.
Saudi Energy reported that its transformation is aligned with international practices in operating energy networks and important infrastructure. The company said this alignment aims to strengthen operational efficiency and support national goals, including localisation, attracting investment and environmental objectives. Saudi Energy added that these efforts help reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as a global energy hub while maintaining continuity in its operating model.
