Saudi Deputy Health Minister Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih Holds Key Bilateral Meetings At UNGA 79 In New York
Saudi Deputy Minister of Health Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih took part in the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York City. During this event, he engaged in several bilateral meetings with health ministers from Indonesia, Latvia, and Nigeria. The discussions revolved around shared health interests, supporting global efforts, and exchanging experiences.
The Saudi and British Ministries of Health organised a significant event titled "The Road from New York to Jeddah" to address antimicrobial resistance. Eng. Al-Rumaih attended this event, which aimed to bolster Saudi Arabia's leadership in global health and pursue sustainable solutions to health challenges. In addition to these discussions, Public Health Authority (Weqaya) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Al-Gwizanian and Health Ministry Assistant Undersecretary Rakan bin Khalid bin Dohaish joined an event hosted by the World Economic Forum. This gathering covered a range of health topics, further emphasising Saudi Arabia's commitment to addressing global health issues.
