Saudi Delegation Led By Bandar Alkhorayef To Visit India For Enhanced Industry And Mining Cooperation

A delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, will visit India from February 3 to 6. The trip aims to strengthen relations and attract significant investments in Saudi Arabia's industry and mining sectors. This initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030's goal to diversify the economy and establish the country as a global leader in these fields.

The delegation plans to visit New Delhi and Mumbai, India's commercial hub. In New Delhi, they will engage with senior Indian government officials from various ministries. Discussions will focus on strategic partnerships in mining, pharmaceuticals, automotive, petrochemicals, chemicals, and other industrial sectors.

Saudi Delegation Visits India for Industry Cooperation

High-level meetings are scheduled with ministries such as Coal, Mines, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Steel, Heavy Industries, and Commerce and Industry. These discussions aim to explore joint investment opportunities and foster effective partnerships between the two nations.

In addition to government meetings, the delegation will visit the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog). Here, they will discuss public policy matters that could influence future collaborations between Saudi Arabia and India.

The delegation will participate in a roundtable meeting with leaders from India's top private-sector industry and mining companies. This engagement aims to identify potential areas for collaboration and investment in both countries' industrial sectors.

Meetings are also planned with executives from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Uno Minda for automotive components, Vedanta Group, and Sanmar Group. These interactions are expected to pave the way for new business opportunities in various industries.

Mumbai Agenda: Expanding Industrial Ties

In Mumbai, the delegation's agenda includes a roundtable meeting with major companies in mining, automotive, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries. These discussions aim to explore potential collaborations that could benefit both nations economically.

The delegation will also conduct field visits to leading Indian firms such as UPL India for chemicals, Tata Electronics, Aditya Birla Group for mining. These visits are intended to gain insights into India's industrial capabilities and identify areas for potential cooperation.

This official visit underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing its industrial ties with India. By engaging with key stakeholders across various sectors, the delegation seeks to create mutually beneficial partnerships that align with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives.
