HRH Crown Prince Marks Presence At 2024 Saudi Cup, World’s Premier Horse Race

HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, graced the 2024 Saudi Cup with his presence, an event celebrated as the globe's most prestigious horse race. This illustrious event took place under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, marking a significant moment in the Kingdom's sporting calendar.

Upon his arrival at the King Abdulaziz Equestrian Field in Riyadh, a warm welcome was extended to HRH the Crown Prince by notable figures including Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, the Chairman of the Equestrian Authority and the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA), alongside other distinguished members of the royal family and officials. This set the stage for a day filled with anticipation and excitement.

The event proceeded with the participating horses making their way from the grooming arena to the parade ground, a spectacle observed by HRH the Crown Prince and other attendees. The jockeys also took their positions on the parade ground, readying themselves for the competition ahead.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the commencement of the 9th round of the Saudi Cup. Following an intense race, Señor Buscador emerged victorious, with its owner Sharf Al-Hariri receiving accolades from HRH the Crown Prince. Additionally, commendations were extended to Hamad Al Rashid, the trainer, and Junior Alvarado, the jockey of Señor Buscador, who were both honored with a horse model and a cavalry horse helmet.

The award ceremony was a gathering of esteemed guests including princes, ministers, dignitaries, and senior guests from both within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Among them was Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. The event not only celebrated sporting excellence but also showcased Saudi Arabia's commitment to hosting world-class events.

The 2024 Saudi Cup has once again demonstrated its status as a premier event in the global equestrian calendar, attracting attention from around the world.
