Saudi Ministries Collaborate To Elevate Quality Of Life And Human Skills

The Ministry of Culture and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) have introduced several joint projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life and developing human capabilities. These initiatives align with Saudi Vision 2030 and were announced following the signing of a memorandum of understanding by Deputy Minister of Culture Hamed bin Mohammed Faiz and GEA CEO Eng. Faisal Bafarat.

The first project focuses on cooperation between the Film Commission and Sela Company, a strategic partner of Riyadh Season. This collaboration aims to support producers at Al-Hosn Studios by simplifying licensing procedures, providing access to the Film Production Support Program, and establishing an office for the commission within the studio premises.

Saudi Vision 2030: Culture & Entertainment Boost

Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud and GEA Chairman Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh supported this agreement. The partnership is expected to boost local film production capabilities significantly.

The Ministry of Culture will also support Riyadh Season through sponsorship of "1000 Seasons and a Season," a major fashion event scheduled for November at THE VENUE. This event will feature renowned designer Elie Saab, highlighting both classic and contemporary fashion trends.

Additionally, the ministry will sponsor the Christian Dior Museum in Riyadh's historic Al-Murabba district. The museum will showcase a diverse collection across 14 sections, including a Christian Dior gift shop and Dior café.

Oud Manufacturing Industry

The third initiative aims to develop the Saudi oud manufacturing industry in line with Riyadh Season's efforts to produce Saudi-made oud instruments. This reflects a joint commitment to promoting musical arts and traditional crafts within the Kingdom.

This collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and GEA seeks to enhance local craftsmanship while preserving cultural heritage through music.

Music Production Hub

The fourth project strengthens the strategic partnership between the Music Commission and Merwas Studio. This initiative positions Merwas Studio as a global music production hub, nurturing local talent and attracting international artists.

This move is expected to elevate Saudi Arabia's status in the global music industry while providing opportunities for local musicians to collaborate with international stars.

In addition, GEA Chairman Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh announced that the Minister of Culture would sponsor the Golden Pen Award. This award aims to transform influential literary works into cinematic productions, further enriching Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape.

These initiatives collectively aim to foster cultural development, enhance entertainment offerings, and support creative industries in Saudi Arabia as part of Vision 2030 goals.
