Saudi Cultural Week In Osaka To Celebrate Handicrafts And Diplomatic Ties With Japan
The Ministry of Culture is set to host Saudi Cultural Week in Osaka, Japan, from July 12 to 15, 2025. This event will take place at Expo Gallery EAST and will focus on the "Year of Handicrafts 2025," showcasing Saudi handmade products' quality and creativity. The event also marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan.
Various organisations will participate in this cultural celebration. The Heritage Commission, the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth), and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy will present interactive activities that highlight Saudi heritage. These activities aim to reflect the rich cultural depth and historical roots of Saudi Arabia.

The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) plans to exhibit photographic content that underscores the historical and cultural connections between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Additionally, the Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 will feature over 700 cultural activities. Visitors can expect an immersive experience into the Kingdom’s rich heritage.
