Cruise Saudi To Present Innovations At Seatrade Cruise Global Miami 2024
Cruise Saudi, a pivotal entity under the Public Investment Fund, is set to make a significant appearance at this year's Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami. The event, a cornerstone for cruise industry professionals, will host over 10,000 attendees from more than 120 countries at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The delegation from Cruise Saudi, led by CEO Lars Clasen and Chief Destination Experiences Officer Barbara Buczek, aims to showcase the company's strides and future plans to cultivate a leading cruise ecosystem within the Kingdom.
Joining forces with Cruise Saudi at the event are its partners: the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), Saudi Red Sea Authority, and NEOM. This collaboration underscores the collective ambition to enhance Saudi Arabia's standing in the global cruise sector. "We relish the opportunity to share news and exchange ideas with the global cruise community," stated Lars Clasen. He highlighted the company's initiatives, including port innovations and a rich program of shore excursions, along with the upcoming launch of their owned cruise line, AROYA Cruises.

On the first day of Seatrade Cruise Global, Barbara Buczek will participate in a panel discussion titled "Navigating Persistent Challenges in Port Development Panel." Scheduled for 2:40 pm in the Sunset Vista Ballroom, this session will delve into sustainable practices that can bolster ports and destinations.
Since its inception in 2021, Cruise Saudi has consistently marked its presence at Seatrade Cruise Global for four years, achieving significant milestones towards establishing Saudi Arabia as a premier international cruise destination. This aligns with Saudi's Vision 2030 to make cruising a central component of tourism in the Kingdom. To date, Cruise Saudi has welcomed over 370,000 passengers from more than 120 countries through its three operational ports in Jeddah, Yanbu, and Dammam. With two additional ports underway in Jazan and Al-Wajh, the company is on track to achieve its ambitious goal of attracting 1.3 million tourists via sea by 2035.
