The researchers include seven from Saudi Arabia, seven from China, and six from other international institutions. This selection highlights diverse perspectives and methodologies.

Selection of Research Proposals for Cultural Grant

The selected studies will be showcased at academic symposiums in Riyadh and Beijing. These events will serve as platforms for scholarly dialogue and exchange. The research proposals focus on five thematic areas: history and cultural heritage, visual and performing arts, literature and translation, cultural economy and creative industries, and digital platforms' role in contemporary cultural exchange.

These studies collectively underscore the enduring connections between Saudi Arabia and China while offering fresh insights into evolving cultural interactions. The Ministry of Culture initiated this grant to promote high-quality academic research that enriches understanding of Saudi-Chinese cultural relations.

In conjunction with the grant, a reciprocal research fellowship program is being prepared to broaden knowledge exchange opportunities. Chinese scholars will be hosted at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh. Meanwhile, Saudi scholars will engage in research activities at Beijing University.

This exchange aims to strengthen institutional partnerships and enhance academic collaboration between both nations. The initiative reflects the ministry’s dedication to fostering international cultural exchange and academic cooperation.

The Ministry's efforts demonstrate a commitment to advancing global cultural interactions through rigorous academic studies. By supporting these initiatives, they aim to deepen understanding of cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and China.
