Saudi Cement Exports Exceed 8.48 Million Tons In 2023 Amid Growing Global Demand

Saudi Arabia's cement industry is experiencing significant growth, with Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef highlighting the expansion of production capacities. The nation boasts a production capacity exceeding 80 million tons annually from 20 factories. Local demand for cement reached approximately 47.3 million tons last year, driven by extensive development projects across the Kingdom.

The minister emphasized the promising future of Saudi Arabia's cement sector, with several companies adopting advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency. "The cement sector in the Kingdom has a promising future, with several leading companies constantly adopting the latest manufacturing technologies, helping to improve production efficiency," he stated. Some companies are actively upgrading their production lines to improve quality.

The construction sector is expected to see spending reach SAR6 trillion by 2030, indicating a growing demand for cement. This surge is fueled by large-scale development projects underway in Saudi Arabia.
