Crown Prince Camel Festival Celebrated With Commemorative Stamp
The Saudi Postal Corporation (SPL) has collaborated with the Saudi Camel Federation to release a postage stamp for the Crown Prince Camel Festival. This festival is dedicated to preserving and promoting camel heritage within Saudi, Arab, and Islamic cultures.
The festival is named after HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. His patronage underscores its importance. The event aims to enhance civilizational and national aspects while supporting cultural and economic growth in society.

Since its inception, the Crown Prince Camel Festival has garnered global attention. It holds a Guinness World Record as the largest camel racing festival worldwide. The first edition in 2018 saw 11,178 camels participating, which increased to 13,377 in the second edition and 14,745 in the third edition.
The fourth edition of the festival had 14,843 camels participating. The fifth edition in 2023 set a new record with 20,216 camels. This continuous growth highlights the festival's increasing popularity and significance.
The postage stamps issued by SPL are aligned with prominent national events and commemorate significant international occasions. Each stamp reflects an important event or immortalizes a notable scene in Saudi history, making them valuable for collectors and historians documenting global history.
This diverse cultural, economic, and sports event encourages participation and roots heritage deeply within society. It also reflects the civilizational depth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
