Ninth Saudi-Austrian Joint Committee Session Concludes, Strengthening Economic Ties

The ninth session of the Saudi-Austrian Joint Committee concluded on Tuesday in Vienna, marking a significant milestone in the longstanding partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Austria. The Kingdom's delegation, which included representatives from 22 Saudi entities, was led by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Alibrahim.

The two-day visit featured a series of bilateral meetings and cultural visits, facilitating in-depth discussions on enhancing economic collaboration and development. The Saudi-Austrian Joint Committee meeting took place on the second day of the visit, with the Deputy Minister for International Economic Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning, Albara Alaskandarani, heading the session on the Saudi side.

The Director General of Economic Affairs, Innovation, and International Policy at Austria's Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy, Florian Frauscher, led from the Austrian side. Various officials from both sides joined to review the session's agenda and discuss current and future initiatives to enhance collaboration in different fields.

During the ninth session, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Austria. The MoU was signed by Faisal Alibrahim on behalf of the Kingdom, while the Federal Minister of Labor and Economy, Martin Kocher, signed it on behalf of Austria.

The MoU aims to enhance economic cooperation, particularly among institutions and SMEs, and covers sectors such as trade, finance, industry, research, innovation, and tourism. This agreement is expected to pave the way for increased collaboration between both nations.

The successful conclusion of this ninth session reaffirms the commitment of Saudi Arabia and Austria to enhance economic cooperation and foster mutual growth across various sectors. Both countries have expressed their dedication to working together to achieve shared economic goals.

Officials from both sides reviewed current initiatives and discussed future projects that could benefit both nations. The discussions highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue and cooperation in achieving sustainable economic development.
