Saudi Arabia Lauded For Women's Rights Achievements At International Conference

Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, highlighted Saudi Arabia's advancements in women's rights. This progress has been achieved under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and with the support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During his address at the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Cairo, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh emphasized that Saudi women have made significant strides in education, healthcare, finance, employment, and leadership roles. Women have taken on ministerial positions, served as ambassadors, and held senior roles within the Shura Council.

Saudi Women's Rights Praised

The minister also highlighted the global achievements of Saudi women. One notable example is a Saudi woman who served as the Director-General of the Centre for Excellence in Nanomedicine and Engineering at the University of California. This showcases their excellence on an international stage.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh praised Saudi women's accomplishments in business, education, health, technology, and space exploration. He noted that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has been actively empowering women by appointing them to leadership positions and allowing them to participate in religious guidance and education.

The minister concluded his speech by expressing hope that the conference would yield recommendations to further enhance the role of Muslim women. He emphasized their importance in building strong families, promoting Islamic values, and contributing to a prosperous and peaceful society.
