Saudi Arabia And United States Establish Strategic Economic Partnership To Enhance Bilateral Relations
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and US President Donald J. Trump co-chaired the Saudi-US Summit at the Royal Court in Al-Yamamah Palace. The summit focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States across various sectors. Discussions also included regional and international developments, mutual interests, and efforts to promote security and stability.
The Crown Prince and the US President signed a Strategic Economic Partnership agreement between Saudi Arabia and the United States. This agreement aims to bolster economic ties and cooperation between the two nations. Additionally, they witnessed the exchange of several bilateral agreements and memoranda that cover a wide range of sectors.

A memorandum of understanding was signed for energy cooperation between Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy and the US Department of Energy. This agreement is expected to enhance collaboration in energy-related projects. Another significant agreement was a memorandum of intent for modernising Saudi Armed Forces' capabilities through future defence initiatives with the US Department of Defense.
In defence cooperation, a letter of intent was signed to enhance joint efforts on ammunition, training, support services, maintenance, systems modernisation, spare parts, and education for the Ministry of National Guard's land and air systems. Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding was established between Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior's International Partnership Programme and the FBI for judicial cooperation.
The summit also saw a letter of intent regarding health capabilities development for Saudi Armed Forces between Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense and the US Department of Defense. These agreements aim to strengthen defence ties and improve military capabilities.
Collaborations in Science and Health
An executive agreement was reached between the Saudi Space Agency and NASA for cooperation on the Space Weather CubeSat on the Artemis II Mission. This collaboration highlights both nations' commitment to advancing space exploration. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed for medical research cooperation between Saudi National Institute of Health Research and US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Further collaborations include an agreement between the Royal Commission for AlUla with Smithsonian Institute through its National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. Another collaboration involves Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art, focusing on cultural exchanges.
Trade Agreements
A Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement was signed to facilitate trade operations between both countries. Moreover, a Protocol of Amendment to the Saudi Arabia-U.S. Air Transport Agreement was established to improve air transport services.
The summit concluded with these agreements aiming to deepen ties across various sectors while promoting mutual growth. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to working together towards shared goals in security, economy, science, health, culture, trade, defence, energy cooperation among others.
