Saudi Ministry Of Interior Announces Umrah Security Measures For 1445 AH
Jeddah, SPA – At the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Makkah, the Ministry of Interior recently conducted its inaugural press conference for the Umrah Security Forces' senior officials for the year 1445 AH. The focus of this gathering was to outline the Ministry's comprehensive strategies and readiness for the upcoming Umrah season, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Lieutenant-General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, the Director of Public Security, took this opportunity to express his appreciation towards the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz for their unwavering support and contributions towards the security arrangements for the 1445 AH Umrah season.
Al-Bassami emphasized that ensuring the security and safety of those performing Umrah remains a paramount concern for all sectors within the Ministry of Interior. He highlighted that the Umrah security forces are already in action, undertaking various responsibilities to ensure peace and order. Their tasks include crowd management and organization, traffic control, provision of humanitarian services, and bolstering the capabilities of security, service, and support agencies. Furthermore, Al-Bassami mentioned the deployment of AI technology at the Two Holy Mosques aimed at forecasting crowd densities and effectively managing them.
