The 2026 World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting in Jeddah will extend discussions started during the World Economic Forum Special Meeting held in Riyadh in April 2024. That gathering was viewed as a success and strengthened Saudi Arabia’s role in international economic dialogue.

Officials noted that hosting the World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting reinforces Saudi Arabia’s position as a dependable partner for global stakeholders. The Jeddah event aims to support economic stability and deepen cooperation between advanced and developing economies facing shared international challenges.

Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim confirmed the Jeddah meeting details during his closing remarks in Davos. Alibrahim underlined the importance of ongoing dialogue to support worldwide growth and encouraged participants to engage actively in the Global Collaboration and Growth discussions in April 2026.

Alibrahim said the upcoming World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting would build on momentum from the Riyadh 2024 special meeting. The minister stated that the Kingdom has become a global centre for practical engagement and decisions with tangible impact on economic issues.

President of the World Economic Forum Børge Brende pointed to the organisation’s growing engagement with Saudi Arabia. Brende said: "We are pleased to return to Saudi Arabia in 2026 to carry forward the conversations started at our annual meeting, creating space for leaders to work together, build trust, and ensure dialogue leads to meaningful collaboration and action."

The announcement of the World Economic Forum Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting in Jeddah in 2026 marks another step in Saudi Arabia’s cooperation with global partners. It follows the forum’s 2024 Riyadh meeting and supports continuing efforts to address worldwide economic challenges through coordinated dialogue.
