Global Supply Chain Forum 2026: Mawani And UNCTAD To Host In Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is set to host the Global Supply Chain Forum (GSCF) 2026 in Riyadh, following a memorandum of understanding between Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) Board Chairman Saleh Al-Jasser and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan, confirming joint organisation of this major international logistics event.
The forum will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2026, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, alongside the second annual Global Logistics Forum. Holding both events together is intended to link domestic and international initiatives related to logistics services and global supply chains under one integrated programme.

Minister Saleh Al-Jasser stated that hosting the Global Supply Chain Forum 2026 demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s advanced status as a logistics hub that connects three continents. Al-Jasser explained that the event supports progress under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, by providing a global venue for building partnerships, sharing knowledge, and encouraging innovation in supply chain management and logistics services.
Al-Jasser highlighted that GSCF 2026 is expected to improve international coordination on logistics challenges, with a specific focus on enhancing efficiency and sustainability in global supply chains. The minister stressed that the forum will bring together decision-makers, experts, and sector organisations to discuss current pressures, long-term risks, and practical solutions affecting trade flows and transport networks worldwide.
The memorandum of understanding between Mawani and UNCTAD is designed to ensure professional organisation of the Global Supply Chain Forum 2026 through detailed coordination on logistical, organisational, and technical matters. This cooperation will support UNCTAD’s preparatory teams throughout planning stages, enabling a smooth experience for participants and stronger outcomes from discussions and sessions held during the event.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of permanent representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Abdulmohsen Majed Binkhothaila, and Mawani President Eng. Suliman bin Khalid Almazroua. Their attendance underlined Saudi Arabia’s institutional support for the forum and the importance attached to its role in global logistics and maritime dialogue.

Eng. Suliman bin Khalid Almazroua stated that organising the Global Supply Chain Forum 2026 continues Mawani’s role in supporting the maritime sector and raising its competitiveness. Almazroua confirmed that Mawani will use its operational experience and organisational capacity to present a high-level edition of the forum that reflects the development of Saudi ports and their growing integration with international supply chains.
The partnership between Mawani and UNCTAD extends an existing relationship and signals Saudi Arabia’s commitment to contributing to international efforts that develop the maritime sector and strengthen resilience and sustainability in global supply chains.
