Saudi Arabia Announced As Host For The 41st Asian Racing Conference In 2026

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host the 41st Asian Racing Conference (ARC) in 2026. The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia will receive the flag from the Japan Racing Association (JRA) during the 40th edition, held in Sapporo, Japan, from August 27 to September 1.

This biennial ARC is a globally recognised event in the horse racing industry. It attracts owners and leading experts from around the world. The conference significantly influences global and regional agendas for advancing the industry.

Saudi Arabia to Host ARC 2026

Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Equestrian Federation and Horse Racing Club, expressed his enthusiasm: "With the generous support and patronage of the wise leadership, the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia is pleased to welcome the guests of the 41st Asian Racing Conference to Saudi Arabia in two years."

Prince Bandar highlighted Saudi Arabia's deep connection with horse racing. He stated that this sport is part of their national identity. The heritage of horses and their role in history are deeply rooted in Saudi culture.

"If Japan is the starting point of the ARC, then the Arabian Peninsula is the origin from which the foundations of modern horse originated hundreds of years ago through the purebred Arabian horse," Prince Bandar added.

Hosting Expectations and Global Impact

The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia anticipates hosting around 1,000 participants from across the globe during this upcoming conference. This reflects both the event's magnitude and its crucial role in developing and enhancing this industry.

Prince Bandar expressed gratitude to the Asian Federation for this opportunity. He assured that Saudi Arabia would present this prestigious event at a deserving level in Riyadh.

This event confirms Saudi Arabia's leading position as a major destination for horse racing in both the Middle East and worldwide.

The Kingdom’s hosting of ARC underscores its commitment to promoting horse racing on an international scale. This aligns with its rich equestrian heritage and ongoing efforts to enhance global sports events.
