Saudi Arabia Three Hospitals Named In Newsweek Global Top 250 For 2026

Saudi Arabia gained three spots in Newsweek’s "World’s Best Hospitals 2026" list, which ranks 250 hospitals worldwide. The listing points to steady progress in the Kingdom’s healthcare system under Vision 2030, highlighting rising quality standards and stronger competition at international level.

Health officials said the recognition reflects continuous development across Saudi Arabia’s healthcare network and the impact of the Health Sector Transformation Program. This Vision 2030 initiative seeks to improve care quality, widen access to advanced services, and enhance institutional performance across the country.

Saudi Arabia Hospitals in Newsweek Top 250

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre recorded the highest Saudi position, coming 153rd globally. The hospital climbed 56 places compared with 2025, when it stood at 209th. This improvement is linked to better clinical results, higher patient satisfaction, and more efficient operations.

Two Saudi hospitals entered the "World’s Best Hospitals 2026" table for the first time, illustrating the wider progress beyond one flagship institution. Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital was placed 206th, while Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare reached 220th, marking their debut among the 250 listed hospitals.

The Newsweek ranking is issued each year in cooperation with Statista, a global data analytics platform. Assessments draw on surveys of healthcare professionals, along with indicators covering clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience, creating a broad view of hospital performance worldwide.

The latest results also show closer coordination between public and private healthcare providers within Saudi Arabia. This cooperation supports wider use of global best practices and service improvements, while the Ministry of Health maintains its regulatory role, raising standards and strengthening governance across the healthcare sector.
