He stated that 25% of the buses would be electric, setting a precedent for future projects across other cities and regions.

Following the signing of the public bus transport project contract in Tabuk, Dr. AL-Rumaih highlighted that this project aims to enhance life quality and improve traffic safety. The costs are supported by the leadership to facilitate transportation to high-activity places like the airport, university, and other vital locations within the city. He emphasized that 25% of the buses will use clean and renewable energy.

Tabuk's Electric Bus Initiative

The project in Tabuk will feature four routes covering over 128 kilometers with 106 stops along these routes. It will be serviced by 30 buses operated by 90 drivers for up to 18 hours daily. The strategy aims to enhance various sectors including aviation, shipping, roads, and ports through continuous project launches and implementations.

He mentioned a major logistics project recently launched at Jeddah Islamic Port as part of these ongoing efforts. The vice minister praised the leadership's unwavering support and their commitment to ensuring timely project completions.

Leadership Support

Dr. AL-Rumaih expressed gratitude towards the governor and deputy governor of Tabuk Region for their dedication to serving residents' needs through such constructive projects. He acknowledged their efforts in facilitating regional development and meeting community needs.
