Saudi Arabia Promotes Summer Escapes At Arabian Travel Market 2024
The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) is currently presenting the allure of Saudi Arabia's summer destinations at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the premier travel and tourism trade show in the Middle East. With a delegation comprising 72 partners, including destination management companies, hoteliers, and airlines, the STA's mission is to enhance awareness of the Kingdom's distinctive summer attractions, forge new trade partnerships, and highlight the burgeoning growth of its tourism sector. This initiative places a spotlight on key markets such as India and China, underscoring the global appeal of Saudi Arabia's tourism offerings.
Saudi Arabia is celebrated for its diverse array of activities and destinations that cater to various interests. From the pristine beaches that offer serene getaways to the culturally rich city of Jeddah, there is something for everyone. Notably, Riyadh is set to host the Esports World Cup in July, marking a significant event in the Kingdom's calendar. Additionally, the tranquil mountainous regions of Aseer, Taif, and Al Baha provide perfect retreats during the warmer months, offering visitors a chance to experience Saudi Arabia's natural beauty.

Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of STA, emphasized the strategic importance of markets in the Middle East, Africa (MEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. These markets contributed to a combined total of 23 million visits last year. The STA is keen on increasing these figures by showcasing both affordable and luxury bookable products for various destinations within Saudi Arabia at ATM. The exhibition not only allows visitors to discover new destinations but also engage in interactive activities and learn about the newly introduced Saudi Rewards scheme.
During a panel discussion at ATM, Hamidaddin shared insights on collaboration and Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in enhancing the regional tourism sector. This dialogue underscored STA's commitment to promoting knowledge about Saudi's diverse destination offerings and its ambition to welcome an increased number of visitors to the Kingdom. With a vision set towards achieving 150 million visits by 2030, STA is laying down significant groundwork to realize this goal.
The Arabian Travel Market serves as an ideal platform for STA to showcase Saudi Arabia's rich tapestry of cultural heritage and natural beauty. Through strategic partnerships and engaging exhibits, STA aims not only to attract more visitors but also to position Saudi Arabia as a top choice for summer vacations among travelers from priority markets like India and China. As Saudi Arabia continues to open its doors wider to international tourists, events like ATM play a crucial role in shaping perceptions and driving tourism growth.
