Spears Of Victory 26 Demonstrates Saudi Arabia's Armed Forces Readiness And Strengthening International Partnerships

The "Spears of Victory 26" exercise is described by Major General Mohammed Al-Omari as reflecting an advanced training approach and an active operational role for the Saudi Armed Forces. The drill is hosted at the Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector, bringing together Saudi forces and participating foreign units for complex joint scenarios.

According to Major General Al-Omari, the exercise includes scenarios designed to imitate modern warfare and new threat patterns. Participants are using advanced systems deployed in the exercise for the first time, including drones, fast boats, and autonomous ground vehicles, to test tactics across land, sea, and air domains.

Spears of Victory 26 Demonstrates Readiness and Partnerships

Major General Al-Omari stated that the presence of forces from brotherly and friendly countries shows strong international confidence in Saudi military capabilities. This confidence is linked in particular to the Air Force’s role in hosting and organizing large exercises, which require complex coordination and reliable operational support.

He explained that joint manoeuvres like "Spears of Victory 26" are a key element in international military relations. The Kingdom places importance on these events to exchange operational experience, share lessons from recent conflicts, and build stronger cooperation with partner countries across different military branches and specialties.

Major General Al-Omari said that significant resources assigned by the wise leadership to the Air Warfare Center have increased the level of international participation. Troop numbers are set according to operational needs, which allows planners to meet training goals without exceeding the capacity of the centre or weakening scenario realism.

The Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector is described as one of the region’s most advanced training facilities. The centre offers a realistic operational environment for testing combat plans, evaluating weapons and systems, and measuring performance, with scenarios spanning air defence, offensive operations, joint maritime support, and land coordination.

The exercise also addresses the testing of advanced weapons, electronic warfare tools, and cyber capabilities. Aircrews and technical personnel work together to develop accurate tactics and procedures, using data gathered from simulations and live missions to refine system settings, response times, and coordination between command centres and frontline units.

Alongside the military programme, cultural and tourism events form part of "Spears of Victory 26". In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Heritage Commission, familiarisation tours are organised for visiting delegations to archaeological and historic locations, presenting Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage and strengthening its image among guests.

Major General Al-Omari indicated that the combination of complex training scenarios, advanced technology, and structured international participation supports Saudi Arabia’s defence readiness. The exercise also reinforces links with partner nations and highlights the role of the Air Warfare Center and national institutions in organising large-scale activities across operational and cultural fields.
