World Champions Set For Intense Battles In Saudi Snooker Masters Quarterfinals
Eight players have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters championship. The Round of 16 concluded on Wednesday evening, featuring top talents from the World Snooker Tour, including world champions and emerging stars.
World No. 1 Judd Trump from England secured his spot in the quarterfinals by defeating fellow Englishman Jack Lisowski, ranked No. 9 globally, with a score of 6-1. Trump will now face Neil Robertson of Australia, the 2010 world champion, who also achieved a 6-1 victory against England's Gary Wilson.

Shaun Murphy, the 2005 world champion, engaged in a fierce match against Elliot Slessor from England. Murphy emerged victorious with a 6-3 win and will now compete against China's Xiao Guodong. Xiao narrowly defeated Scotland’s Scott Donaldson in an intense match that ended 6-5 after 11 frames.
Seven-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan from England delivered an outstanding performance against China's Zhang Anda. Despite trailing by three frames initially, O'Sullivan managed to level the score. The match saw further tension as both players tied at 4-4 and 5-5, leading to a final frame where O'Sullivan triumphed with a commanding 78-0 score.
O'Sullivan's next opponent will be China’s Si Jiahui, who edged past his compatriot Pang Junxu with a close 6-5 victory.
Williams and Robertson Advance
Welshman Mark Williams secured his place in the quarterfinals by defeating England's Stuart Bingham with a convincing score of 6-2. Williams will face Jimmy Robertson from England in the next round. Robertson caused a major upset by defeating reigning world champion Kyren Wilson.
The quarterfinal matches of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters are scheduled to begin on Thursday at 2:00 PM local time.
