Saudi Arabia’s Continued Support: 11th Relief Plane Heads To Ukraine With Aid

In a significant move to aid the Ukrainian people amidst their ongoing crisis, the eleventh Saudi relief plane, orchestrated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), took off today from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport. The aircraft, carrying 80 tons of relief materials, is en route to Rzeszow Airport in the Republic of Poland, strategically located near the Ukrainian border. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's comprehensive humanitarian efforts to support Ukraine during these challenging times.

The consignment onboard includes essential generators and electrical appliances, earmarked for distribution across the Polish border into Ukraine. Demonstrating the importance of this mission, the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, Saad bin Saleh Al-Saleh, along with a dedicated logistic team from KSrelief, accompanied the relief materials on the plane.

Saudi's 11th Aid Plane to Ukraine

This latest dispatch is a continuation of Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing substantial humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The Kingdom previously announced a generous aid package totaling $400 million. This package comprises $100 million in humanitarian aid facilitated through KSrelief and an additional $300 million allocated for oil derivatives, presented as a grant by the Saudi Fund for Development.

Further solidifying its support, KSrelief has entered into two cooperation agreements, each valued at ten million US dollars, with prominent international organizations - the World Health Organization and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Cumulatively, Saudi Arabia's support for Ukraine has reached an impressive total of 410 million US dollars. This funding aims to offer crucial medical and shelter assistance to those displaced from Ukraine to neighboring countries, with a particular focus on Poland.

This extensive support underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to aiding Ukraine and its populace as they navigate through significant social and economic challenges. It also highlights the Kingdom's dedication to mitigating the humanitarian consequences arising from these adversities.

The efforts by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief and other channels reflect a deep-seated resolve to provide meaningful assistance to those in need worldwide, reinforcing its position as a leading humanitarian benefactor on the global stage.
