Saudi Arabia Schools Ready To Welcome Over 6 Million Students For New Academic Year With Extensive Preparations

Saudi Arabia's public schools are set to welcome students for the 1447-1448 AH academic year. The Ministry of Education has worked hard to create a safe and engaging environment that promotes national values, discipline, and diligence. This effort aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's goal of nurturing a competitive generation.

The Ministry has launched several projects to ensure a smooth start to the school year. These include 75 new construction projects worth SAR920 million aimed at expanding infrastructure. Additionally, over 15,000 school buildings underwent comprehensive maintenance, including more than 884,000 air conditioning units, costing over SAR2 billion.

Saudi Schools Prepare for New Academic Year

To further enhance facilities, the Ministry restored and rehabilitated over 1,400 educational buildings at a cost of SAR782 million. These efforts aim to improve the quality of the school environment and boost facility efficiency. Such initiatives underscore the Ministry's dedication to providing a conducive learning atmosphere.

In Riyadh Region alone, preparations have been completed for over 2.84 million students across 6,873 schools. The Eastern Region is ready to accommodate more than 700,000 students, while Qassim has enrolled over 320,000 students. Aseer is prepared for 525,595 students in 3,430 schools.

Tabuk has finalized arrangements for 211,372 students. In Northern Borders Region, more than 100,500 students will be welcomed back. Hail is ready for over 180,000 students in more than 1,300 schools. Al-Jouf has prepared its 937 schools for 168,494 students.

Jazan’s preparations cover approximately 351,535 students across its 2,556 schools. Najran will receive 183,302 students in its 980 schools. Meanwhile, Al-Baha has completed preparations in over 760 schools for more than 80,000 students.

The extensive preparations by the Ministry highlight their commitment to ensuring a successful and disciplined start to the new school year. These efforts support learning outcomes and prepare a promising generation that will contribute significantly to Saudi Vision 2030.
