Saudi Arabia's King Salman Implements Significant Military Leadership Shifts
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has issued several royal orders today. These orders involve significant changes in military leadership and appointments within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
General Mutlaq bin Salem bin Mutlaq Al-Azima, Commander of the Joint Forces, has been retired from service. This decision was based on a submission by the Minister of Defense. Additionally, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Ghufaili has been relieved from his position as Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces and appointed as Deputy Chief of the General Staff with the rank of lieutenant general.

Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Mutair has also been relieved from his post as Chief of Staff of the Land Forces. He will now serve as an Advisor at the Minister of Defense’s Office, maintaining his rank as lieutenant general.
Major General Fahd bin Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Salman has been promoted to lieutenant general and appointed as Commander of the Joint Forces. Similarly, Major General Fahd bin Saud bin Dhuwaihir Al-Juhani has been promoted to lieutenant general and will now serve as Chief of Staff of the Land Forces.
Naval Major General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Hamed Al-Gharibi has also received a promotion to lieutenant general and is appointed as Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces. These promotions reflect a strategic shift in military leadership within Saudi Arabia.
Administrative Changes
In addition to military changes, Dr. Samir bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Tabib has been relieved from his role as Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet. He is now appointed as an Advisor at the Ministry of Defense with an excellent rank.
The Minister of Defense is tasked with implementing these orders promptly. These changes are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and reorganise various sectors within Saudi Arabia's defense framework.
