More than 70 countries and 25 international organisations attended the AI Impact Summit 2026, together with senior policymakers and technology experts. SDAIA’s presence placed Saudi Arabia among states discussing shared rules for AI development, and among participants examining how data-driven systems can support sustainable growth, climate action and better public services.

Deputy Chief Strategy Officer at SDAIA Dr. Abdulrahman Habib stressed that international action is essential to support ethical and responsible artificial intelligence. Dr. Abdulrahman Habib underlined that such cooperation should secure long-term benefits for societies and economies worldwide, while also backing achievement of the SDGs 2030 through safe and accountable adoption of emerging AI tools.

Dr. Abdulrahman Habib presented Saudi Arabia’s data and AI programmes, noting regulatory frameworks and national policies designed to balance innovation with strong governance. The review covered applied AI models in the Kingdom that improved quality of life, raised the efficiency of government services and supported environmental sustainability through better use of data.

The Saudi delegation at the summit was led by SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi, with Saudi Ambassador to India Haitham Al-Maliki and officials from relevant government entities. SDAIA’s participation reflected coordination between diplomatic and technical bodies as Saudi Arabia engages in international discussions on artificial intelligence standards and shared technology priorities.

SDAIA’s role at the AI Impact Summit 2026 highlighted Saudi Arabia’s interest in shaping global conversations on artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. The engagement aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, which place digital transformation and innovation among national priorities and support the Kingdom’s growing presence in international technology forums.
