During the forum, Faisal Alibrahim emphasised Saudi Vision 2030 as a transformative national project. He stated: "In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Vision 2030 represents a national transformation project, inspired by the ambition of our wise leadership and the aspirations of the people. As a result, the Kingdom has become the fastest-improving G20 country across sustainable development indicators over the past decade."

Alibrahim highlighted local initiatives like Al Madinah Region Development Authority's 'Atlas of Sustainable Development in Al Madinah Neighborhoods'. This initiative provided detailed data for all seventy neighbourhoods in Al Madinah, enabling better policy-making through scientific simulations.

The UN-Water Commission recognised Saudi Arabia for its significant progress in SDG 6 Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture shared insights on water security advancements at the forum. They discussed their Action Plan for Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), showcasing rapid improvements in integrated water resources management.

Additionally, a side event organised by several ministries focused on government sector integration. This event stressed collaboration based on sound policies and institutional capabilities to accelerate SDG achievement.

Global Contributions and Strategic Partnerships

The Saudi Fund for Development showcased its role in global sustainable development through a pavilion. It highlighted efforts to finance projects in health, education, energy, infrastructure, industry, mining, and more. On the sidelines of the forum, Alibrahim engaged with high-level officials to explore collaboration opportunities. These discussions aimed at strengthening economic ties and expanding investment prospects.

The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development has been held annually under the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2012. This platform continues to be pivotal in reviewing global efforts towards achieving sustainable development goals.
