Saudi Arabia's General Court Of Audit Engages In INTOSAI General Assembly In Sharm El-Sheikh
The General Court of Audit (GCA) is set to participate in the 25th Session of the General Assembly of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). This event will take place from October 27 to 31 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Approximately 800 members and affiliates from over 195 countries are expected to attend.
INTOSAI, known as the largest professional accounting body globally, serves as a central organization for Supreme Audit Institutions. It aids its members by developing auditing standards, conducting performance audits, and offering capacity-building programs. The organization also facilitates knowledge sharing among its members.

As the Second Vice-Chair of INTOSAI, GCA plays a significant role in decision-making within the organization. Its participation underscores its active involvement in INTOSAI meetings and initiatives. GCA will also engage in several main professional committees and plenary sessions during the technical symposium accompanying the General Assembly.
Before the General Assembly commences, the 79th Meeting of the INTOSAI Governing Board will occur. GCA will participate in this meeting to oversee the implementation of INTOSAI's Strategic Plan and make crucial policy decisions. This involvement highlights GCA's commitment to enhancing professional performance within INTOSAI.
Beyond its role as Second Vice-Chair, GCA holds various leadership positions within INTOSAI. These include chairing the Policies, Finance and Administration Committee (PFAC) and leading INTOSAI’s side in the Steering Committee for Cooperation with the Donor Community, which is led by the World Bank. Additionally, GCA is a member of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) Board of Directors.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will showcase its advancements in digital auditing through its booth at an exhibition held alongside the event. The booth will feature Saudi Arabia’s pioneering experience with digital auditing via the "Shamel Platform" and highlight efforts in professional capacity building.
GCA's involvement in these roles reflects its dedication to improving auditing practices worldwide. By participating actively in INTOSAI's initiatives, GCA contributes significantly to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness among Supreme Audit Institutions globally.
