Saudi Arabia To Participate In The 2025 United Nations High-Level Political Forum On Sustainable Development
Saudi Arabia is set to join the 2025 United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. This event will occur from July 14 to 23 in New York City. The forum gathers member states to evaluate global progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the 2030 Agenda.
The Saudi delegation, led by Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim, comprises representatives from nine key government bodies. These include the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Other entities involved are the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Saudi Fund for Development, Madinah Region Development Authority, National Center for Wildlife, and Quality of Life Program.

Minister Alibrahim will deliver Saudi Arabia’s address during the ministerial segment. He will focus on the Kingdom's significant initiatives and progress towards achieving the SDGs through Vision 2030. On the sidelines, he plans to meet with counterparts from other member states and international organizations to discuss enhancing cooperation.
These discussions aim to accelerate collective progress on sustainable development goals. Saudi Arabia's participation highlights its dedication to aligning Vision 2030 with global sustainable development efforts.
Last year, Saudi Arabia submitted its Voluntary Local Review reports. Previously, it presented Voluntary National Reviews at the High-Level Political Forum in 2018 and 2023. These reviews outlined notable achievements and strategies in various sustainable development aspects.
The Kingdom's involvement in these forums underscores its commitment to sustainable development on a global scale. Delegation members will deliver official statements representing Saudi Arabia throughout the forum.
This engagement reflects Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to integrate Vision 2030 with international sustainability objectives. By participating in such forums, the Kingdom aims to contribute significantly to global sustainable development initiatives.
