Saudi Arabia Celebrates Organic Food Day With Events And BIOFACH Exhibition To Promote Sustainability

Saudi Arabia, through the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, is set to mark Organic Food Day with a variety of events across the Kingdom. These activities are designed to highlight the benefits of organic food for health and the environment. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's goals to ensure sustainable food security, enhance public health, and improve quality of life.

In Riyadh, the Saudi International Exhibition for Organic Products (BIOFACH Saudi Arabia) will take place from November 11 to 13 at The Arena. This event is under the patronage of Minister Abdulrahman Alfadley and in partnership with the Saudi Organic Farming Association. It aims to bolster the local organic product community and establish Saudi Arabia as a key player in this sector.

The ministry's activities include educational workshops, informational exhibitions, and interactive sessions. These are intended to showcase how organic foods contribute to balancing human health with environmental sustainability. The ministry also seeks to inspire farmers to embrace organic farming methods while educating consumers on its health benefits.

The exhibition will feature over 50 prominent brands from both Saudi and international companies. More than 116 exhibitors from nine countries will participate, making it one of the leading global events in organic agriculture. This gathering supports local production and promotes resource sustainability.

Through these initiatives, the ministry aims to encourage farmers towards sustainable practices that benefit both people and nature. By adopting organic farming techniques, farmers can contribute significantly to resource conservation and local production enhancement.
