Saudi Arabia And Lenovo Sign Agreement To Train And Employ 100 National Talents In Advanced Industrial Technologies

The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has partnered with Lenovo Saudi Arabia to train and employ 100 Saudi men and women in technical and engineering roles. This initiative is under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. The agreement was signed during the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh.

Lenovo will introduce its first specialized industrial training program in Saudi Arabia as part of this agreement. The program aims to equip national talent with skills for advanced manufacturing and high-tech industrial operations. Training will occur both inside and outside the Kingdom, supported by HRDF.

Saudi Arabia Partners with Lenovo for Talent Training

This initiative aligns with Lenovo's strategic partnership with Alat, reinforcing the human capabilities initiative announced at the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) in Riyadh last month. The program is designed to prepare 100 Saudis for critical roles within the advanced manufacturing sector, covering various engineering fields, materials management, planning, production, and industrial engineering.

The curriculum also focuses on developing expertise in quality management and strategic operations. This ensures a steady supply of skilled professionals ready to support Saudi Arabia's industrial goals. All selected candidates will join Lenovo as full-time employees while participating in the ISTDAM Advanced Talent Development Program, a four-month intensive training track.

This collaboration highlights Saudi Arabia's dedication to building a world-class workforce capable of advancing its industrial and technological sectors. The high-profile signing at the UNIDO General Conference underscores Saudi Arabia's role as a global sustainability leader and emphasizes its strategic investment in human capital development.

Other global manufacturers now have a clear entry into Saudi Arabia's advanced industrial ecosystem, which combines modern infrastructure, strategic investment, and a skilled national workforce. This partnership creates a model for future collaborations, positioning Saudi Arabia as a hub for global innovation.

The agreement opens opportunities for leading technologies in artificial intelligence, automation, and sustainable manufacturing to thrive in Saudi Arabia. By fostering such alliances, the Kingdom aims to become a centre for global innovation.
