Saudi Arabia Sets Global Benchmark In Responsible Innovation In Tech
Singapore, SPA – Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has emphasised Saudi Arabia's leadership in promoting responsible innovation in advanced technologies. This approach ensures a balance between leveraging technical advancements and preserving societal values and security. His remarks were made during a speech on Online Safety at the G2G Ministerial Meeting held at the ATxSummit in Singapore.
The summit, organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) under the theme "Reshaping Technology for a Better Future," was attended by ministers of communications, technology, and AI, as well as global experts and specialists in data and AI. Dr. Al-Ghamdi highlighted SDAIA's efforts to balance the impact of technologies with their benefits, particularly through initiatives like the data and privacy legislative environment.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi elaborated on SDAIA's initiative aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, and entrepreneurs. This initiative provides a platform for experimentation and growth while ensuring data privacy. It offers guidance, organisational flexibility, and a collaborative testing environment, making it a model for responsible technical development.
