Cambodia's Grand Mufti Praises Saudi Arabia For Its Leadership And Service In The Islamic World
Shaikh Qamar Al-Din bin Yusuf, Grand Mufti and Chairman of the Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs in Cambodia, acknowledged Saudi Arabia's leadership in the Islamic world. He praised the Kingdom's efforts in serving Muslims globally, noting their recognition and appreciation.
During a meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, Shaikh Qamar Al-Din highlighted Saudi Arabia's role in promoting Islamic tolerance. He emphasized the Kingdom's dedication to clarifying Islam's virtues and fostering moderate values based on the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

The delegation was participating in the second scientific session for training imams and preachers in Cambodia. Majid Al-Dhayan, the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy, was also present during this reception.
The Mufti of Cambodia commended Saudi Arabia for its significant advancements across various fields. He particularly noted improvements in serving pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques, including Umrah performers and visitors. The use of modern technology to facilitate rituals with ease and tranquility was also praised.
Cooperation with Islamic Institutions
Shaikh Qamar Al-Din highlighted the Ministry of Islamic Affairs' efforts to deepen cooperation with various Islamic institutions. This collaboration aims to promote moderation and reject extremism and ideological deviation.
He stressed the importance of current training courses and scientific programs implemented by the ministry in Cambodia. These initiatives aim to develop and enhance preachers' skills, enabling them to fulfill their religious duties effectively.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a leader in the Islamic world," stated Shaikh Qamar Al-Din bin Yusuf. "Its efforts in serving Muslims are widely recognized and appreciated."
The Grand Mufti concluded by emphasizing that these training programs are crucial for developing religious guides' capabilities. This ensures they can perform their duties with greater competence.
